
Warehouse Clerk Lead
Barber DME Supply Group is seeking a hardworking and reliable, detail-oriented Warehouse Clerk Lead to join our team as a 1099 Independent Contractor in Falls Church, VA. In this role, you’ll be responsible for overseeing inventory management, packing, shipping, receiving, and delivering orders directly to patients or stores within the DC, MD, and VA areas. You will also assist with inventory transfers between locations and other essential warehouse tasks. As an independent contractor, you’ll have the flexibility to manage your own hours while also being an integral part of a growing company. Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management:
-
Perform inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure stock levels are accurate.

Maintain inventory records to ensure medical supplies and equipment are properly tracked.

Oversee the storage, handling, and organization of inventory to keep the warehouse running smoothly.

Packing & Shipping:
-
Supervise packing of orders, ensuring that shipments are accurate and meet delivery timelines.

Manage shipping and receiving, ensuring timely and accurate processing of orders.

Transfers & Deliveries:
-
Coordinate and complete inventory transfers between warehouse locations.
-
Deliver medical supplies to patients and stores within the DC, MD, and VA areas as required, ensuring careful handling and on-time delivery.

Warehouse Support:

Respond to the inventory needs of store locations across the region, supporting them in managing stock and supplies.

Ensure that warehouse operations are efficient, organized, and compliant with company standards and regulations.

Customer Service & Collaboration:

Maintain high standards of service by ensuring accurate inventory handling and meeting customer expectations.

Work closely with the business owner and team members to identify areas for improvement and help implement solutions.

Independent Contractor Role:

As a 1099 independent contractor, you will have the flexibility to set your own hours while maintaining accountability for your responsibilities.

Physical Requirements:
-
Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical tasks such as carrying, loading, and unloading medical equipment.

Ability to operate warehouse equipment (such as forklifts or pallet jacks) may be required.

Experience:

Previous warehouse experience is required.
-
DME (Durable Medical Equipment) or medical-related experience is preferred, but not mandatory.

Typing & Computer Skills:

Must be able to type at least 35 words per minute and be proficient in using a computer for managing inventory, processing shipments, and performing related administrative tasks.

Familiarity with warehouse management software or basic computer programs (such as Excel, email) is a plus.

Skills:

Strong organizational and time-management skills, able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks independently.

Comfortable with delivery routes and navigating across the DC, MD, and VA areas to make deliveries as needed.

Proficiency with warehouse management systems and basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Excel).
